Mark James Ellner, 69, of Prairie du Rocher, passed away on Tuesday, June 12, 2018 at Jefferson Barracks Division in St. Louis, MO. He was born on July 13, 1948 in Prairie du Rocher. The son of the late John and Josephine (Brown) Ellner. Mark and Lynette Junge were united in marriage on November 4, 1989 at St. John Lutheran Church in Red Bud. Mark proudly served in the United States Army during Vietnam. Mark worked as a box press operator at Wiegmann-Hubbell in Freeburg. He was a member of the American Legion in Prairie du Rocher for 32 years and a member of Sheet Metal 459.
Mark is survived by his wife Lynette Rae Ellner of Prairie du Rocher; four daughters Angel Joy (Richie) Nihells of Lafayette, IN, Tracy (David) Green of Chester, Launa Ellner and Jaimee Ellner both of Colorado; one son Michael James Anthony Ellner of Prairie du Rocher; one sister Mary Davis of Sparta; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; mother-in-law Glenda Junge of Red Bud, brother-in-law Lyle Junge of Red Bud; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and best friend Rick “Junkman” Godier
Mark is preceded in death by parents, one son Mark Anthony Ellner and two brothers John and Paul Ellner
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, July 14, 2018 at the American Legion in Prairie du Rocher
A greet will be held on Saturday, July 14, 2018 from 1 p.m. until the hour of service at the American Legion in Prairie du Rocher
