Obituary of Jesse Sharp

Jesse Frank Sharp, 64, of Marissa, IL, passed away on Saturday, April 29, 2017 at Missouri Baptist Hospital in St. Louis. He was born on November 23, 1952 in Elkhart, IN. The son of Louis and Juanita Sharp Sr.. Jesse and Marcella Anderson were united in marriage on July 12, 1987 in Madison, IL. Jesse was a cook at Notre Dame. Jesse was a member of God’s House Pentecostal Church in Tilden and was an ordained Minister in Apostolic Truth Incorporated

Jesse is survived by his wife, Marcella Sharp of Marissa, IL; one daughter, Marie Elliott of Virginia; two sons, Michael Elliott of Granite City, IL, and Tommy Elliott of Virginia; two brothers, Ralph Sharp of Indiana, and Sam Sharp of Granite City; three sisters, Kris Tappel of Granite City, IL, Linda Riggs, and Nina Filbert of Florida; eight grandchildren; five great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends

Jesse is preceded in death by his parents, brother Lewis Sharp Jr., and son Douglas Haver

Funeral Services will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, May 5, 2017 at God’s House Pentecostal Church in Tilden, IL

Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, May 4, 2017 at God’s House Pentecostal Church in Tilden, IL and on Friday from 9 a.m. until the hour of service at the Church

Interment will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, May 5, 2017 at St. Clair Memorial Park Cemetery in Fairview Heights
